What should I expect from my consultation?

During your initial consultation Dr. Krummen will listen as you tell her what problem areas you want addressed. She will then discuss with you the various treatment options available to you and recommend which treatment she thinks will work best in your situation. Dr. Krummen will also advise you of the potential risks of the procedure and discuss the benefits you’re likely to see. The cosmetic quote is based on the individual procedure and the time it will take for your particular needs. Therefore, each quote is customized and usually needs to be prepared and sent to you the next day.

Where do you perform surgery?

Dr. Krummen only performs surgery in fully accredited hospital operating rooms and outpatient surgery centers. Her privileges extend to Bethesda North, The Christ Hospital, Good Samaritan, all Mercy Hospitals, Jewish Hospital plus several outpatient surgical centers.

What does it mean to be board certified?

Doctors who are board certified have undergone rigorous training and must meet rigid standards. If you’re looking for a plastic surgeon, look for a doctor who is board certified in plastic surgery. Some doctors, while board certified doctors, are not plastic surgeons. There is only one nationally recognized board that certifies doctors in plastic surgery of the entire body and that is The American Board of Plastic Surgery.
